The Chief Executive of the Youth Justice Board has told Sky News that agencies must learn from the systemic failings identified by the public inquiry into the Southport attack.
Speaking to Samantha Washington on The UK Tonight, Stephanie Roberts-Bibby said she finds it "hard to believe" that the many professionals who had contact with Axel Rudakubana had "no insight into what was going on in his world".
Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, were killed by Rudukubana, who was 17 at the time, in a stabbing attack at a dance class in Southport on 29 July 2024.
