“Healthcare, not warfare!”
Hundreds of US doctors staged a protest on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, demanding that Congress stop funding Israel’s genocide in Gaza and take action to prevent attacks on aid workers.
From Palestine, Iran, the DRC, Sudan, to Lebanon, they said they cannot remain inactive while the world faces what they call an “epidemic of killing children and attacking healthcare facilities.”
They told TRT World that they plan to meet with 50 lawmakers and congressional staffers to advocate for human rights and to brief them on “what is happening in the world as a result of US actions.”
