A large-scale fire broke out at the Rosneft-owned Tuapse oil refinery on Russia’s Black Sea coast following a Ukrainian drone attack on 28 April. Thick smoke covered the sky as nearby buildings were evacuated. This is the second attack on the refinery in less than two weeks, with operations already halted since 16 April.
Governor Veniamin Kondratiev confirmed the incident on Telegram. Ukraine has not commented on the latest strike. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said intensive work is underway to strengthen air defence of important facilities.
