Journalists and media workers gathered in Gaza City to mark World Press Freedom Day, commemorating fallen colleagues in the occupied Palestinian land and calling for protection amid ongoing Israeli attacks despite a ceasefire deal.
At least 260 journalists have been killed in Gaza since October 2023, making it the deadliest conflict for media workers, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.
