Activist sleeps atop major US bridge to demand end to war on Iran

Anti-war activist Guido Reichstadter has been sleeping atop the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in Washington, DC, for the past four days in a civil disobedience protest that puts his life at risk and could send him to jail.

In an exclusive Zoom interview with TRT World, Reichstadter said he wants an immediate end to the war on Iran as well as a suspension of the development of artificial intelligence.

Reichstadter—who is now running out of water and food—says he will be forced to come down from the bridge in a few days and hopes his nonviolent message will have an impact.
