Israeli strikes have targeted Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, for the first time since a ceasefire came into force in the country. Despite that ceasefire, clashes have continued between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah.
US President Donald Trump has claimed the Iran war will "be over quickly" as he looks to secure a deal with Iran to end the conflict. Trump has made similar remarks throughout the war, the latest coming after both Washington and Tehran have talked positively in recent days about progress on efforts to end the conflict.
