What are tech CEOs seeking in China with Trump? | DW News

Donald Trump is meeting China’s leadership in Beijing alongside top US tech CEOs — including Elon Musk, Tim Cook and Nvidia’s Jensen Huang — putting the global race for technological dominance front and center.
Washington has framed the talks as a dialogue between “the world’s two AI superpowers.” But analysts say the reality is far more competitive than cooperative, as Chatham House researcher James Kynge tells us in his interview, pointing to rapid advances by Chinese firms often achieved with far fewer resources. With China now leading in many critical technologies, the meetings highlight a shifting balance — where rivalry, not partnership, is likely to define the future of AI and global tech.
