Reports say Oman and Iran are in talks to introduce a toll system in the Strait of Hormuz – it could let ships pass through safely if they pay a certain fee – something that could be illegal under international waterway law.
This comes despite Trump warning countries not to make a deal with Iran as it demands payment to transit the Strait of Hormuz.
