Today is now officially the hottest ever May day, with the record being broken for the second day in a row.
A temperature of 35C has provisionally been recorded at Heathrow and Kew Gardens in London, according to the Met Office, after Kew Bridge saw highs of 34.8C yesterday.
It’s also the earliest the UK has reached 35C since 26 June 1976.
