Muslim pilgrims gathered at Mount Arafat for the most significant ritual of the Hajj pilgrimage, wuquf (standing in prayer). Large crowds formed at Jabal al-Rahmah, where Prophet Muhammad delivered his final sermon, and also believed to be where Prophet Adam and Eve reunited and the first repentance was accepted, as pilgrims spend the day in worship.
