Nowak, an 18-year-old student, was handcuffed by police and arrested shortly before he died. He told police multiple times that he had been stabbed and couldn’t breathe.
His murderer, Vickrum Digwa, 23, has been jailed for life. Digwa falsely told police that Nowak had racially abused him, prompting officers to handcuff the university student as he lay dying.
