Israeli diplomat silenced by protests at UN Labour Conference in Geneva

Israeli diplomat Waleed Gadban was forced to cut short his speech at the International Labour Organization’s conference on June 3 in Geneva after widespread backlash from the audience. Government ministers, alongside trade union, worker, and employer representatives, loudly banged on tables in protest, with some participants unfurling Palestinian flags. Security officers intervened but the Israeli official was unable to finish his address before the floor was given to the next speaker.
