Hundreds of protesters gathered in Zvernec, Albania on June 6, to oppose a proposed €1.4 billion luxury resort linked to Jared Kushner’s investment firm, Affinity Partners.
The development is planned near the Vjosa-Narta Protected Area, a sensitive coastal wetland that serves as a habitat for flamingos, seals and sea turtles. Environmental groups warn the project could threaten one of Albania’s most important ecosystems and disrupt the country’s only flamingo nesting site.
