Gaza flotilla: Abducted at sea | Bigger Than Five

Following Israel’s interception of the latest flotilla trying to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip, some participants have lodged a submission to the International Criminal Court, alleging abuse and torture.

They were among more than 400 activists seized from boats in international waters and then detained in Israel.

One participant, US journalist Alex Colston, describes hearing direct testimony of sexual and physical abuse at the hands of Israeli guards, and says this echoes the treatment of Palestinians in Israeli prisons.

Several European governments lodged formal protests, after Israel’s national security minister posted a video showing him taunting flotilla activists held in stress positions.

But a member of the UK parliament, Andrew George, says it’s time for meaningful action against what he calls the "far-right Netanyahu regime," as Israeli atrocities in Gaza continue.
