A Lebanese journalist was targeted by an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon on June 15, escaping with injuries after being hit by six pieces of shrapnel in his chest and legs. He was taken to Al-Najda Al-Shaabia Hospital in Nabatieh for surgery.
The attack comes amid a pattern of Israeli strikes on journalists in Lebanon and Gaza, with rights groups reporting at least 260 journalists have been killed by Israeli attacks since October 2023.
