The EU has invited the Taliban to Brussels – what message does this send to Afghan women?

Since the Taliban returned to power in 2021, Afghan women have been systematically stripped of their rights to education, work, and movement. Now, the EU is inviting Taliban officials to Brussels – not to discuss those rights, but to negotiate deportation deals.
