Thousands of handwoven carpets and kilims have been laid out across harvested wheat fields in Antalya’s Dosemealti district. The carpets are placed in the fields after washing and repairing to naturally fade their colours under the sun, giving them a sought-after pastel appearance. They remain in the fields for around three months before being cleaned and prepared for export.
