Religious autonomy of Turkish minority in Western Thrace undermined

Four members of the Western Thrace Turkish minority have been ordered by a Greek court to serve seventeen months in prison. They were found guilty of protesting against state-appointed religious officials. Community leaders say this ruling exemplifies a decades-long struggle for religious autonomy.
