Lebanon’s temporary graves of war

After her husband was killed by an Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon, Inam Hadid’s family faced another impossible decision. With fighting still raging, they could not give him a permanent burial. Instead, they placed his remains in a temporary grave, known locally as a "grave deposit", until it was safe to bury him properly. Their story sheds light on a practice that has become a painful reality for many Lebanese families.
