President Donald Trump has praised the US as the land of freedom, and also hailed the military operations in Venezuela and Iran during his speech marking the nation’s 250th anniversary. His Fourth of July address began around an hour late due to severe storms. Organisers evacuated crowds from the National Mall in Washington, while extreme heat also delayed or cancelled events across the country. Kristina Simich reports.
