Over a dozen German aid organizations have protested further cuts to Germany’s development assistance and humanitarian aid. Since 2023, the budget of Germany’s development ministry has been cut by more than 20%. Humanitarian aid has been halved since 2024. Germany remains one of the globe’s biggest contributors.
