A rescue operation in India’s Athmallik Forest Division took a turn when a bear chased villagers moments after being freed from a well. Two bears had fallen into the well, and after several hours of effort by locals and forest department personnel, both animals were safely brought out. One of the bears charged at the crowd before retreating, causing people to run for safety. No injuries were reported.
