Humanoid robot fighting league debuts in China

The world’s first fighting league for humanoid robots, the Ultimate Robot Knock-out Legend (URKL), launched in Shenzhen on July 16. More than 200 teams from countries including China, the United States and Singapore took part, with 32 advancing to compete for the championship belt and a 10 million yuan ($1.4 million) prize pool. All teams used the standardised EngineAI T800 humanoid robot.
