At least 20 people have been killed and more than 100 remain missing after flash floods hit Afghanistan’s Nuristan province on July 20, according to the National Disaster Management Authority. Most of the damage was reported in Parun, the provincial capital, with at least 80 people injured. Authorities have forecast more rain and storms, and warned residents to stay away from riverbanks.
