Germany’s chancellor, Friedrich Merz has delivered a defiant statement ahead of a vigil at Berlin’s St Mary’s Church after a van drove into a crowd during an LGBTQ+ event on Saturday, killing one person and injuring at least 29.
The parade was cancelled hours after it began.
