Berlin CSD Pride Attack: Germany’s Merz faces questions over security | DW News

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz says there will be political consequences following the deadly attack on Berlin’s Christopher Street Day (CSD) Pride celebrations, calling it an attack on Germany’s freedom and open society. Merz says it is too early to announce specific measures but insists the government must answer how a known extremist was able to reach one of Europe’s largest Pride events.
