Many people are feared dead after a powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck southwestern Japan. Up to 30 people are believed to be missing following an explosion at a shopping mall in Kashima. Authorities say people may be trapped inside the complex after the second floor collapsed in a blast. Search and rescue operations are ongoing as crews respond to widespread destruction across the region.
