Türkiye’s Ministry of Interior has announced the capture of B.K., a FETO terrorist wanted under an Interpol Red Notice for his role in the 15 July 2016 coup attempt and the assassination attempt against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Marmaris.
Identified as the last fugitive member of the 37-person assassination team, the former army captain and helicopter pilot was detained on 1 August 2026 in a coordinated intelligence and counterterrorism operation.
