A fire broke out at an ammunition factory near Rome on August 13, causing a large explosion, according to Italian media. The incident occurred at KNDS Ammo Italy’s facility in Colleferro and was reportedly confined to the powder-pressing section, where ammunition and explosives are produced and stored for European militaries, including supplies for Ukraine. No injuries or casualties were reported. Firefighters were deployed to the site to contain the incident.
