A major wildfire spread towards the Croatian coastal town of Omis overnight, destroying numerous homes and forcing residents and tourists to evacuate.
Strong, shifting winds fuelled the blaze as firefighters battled to protect homes and other buildings, while evacuations were carried out by land and sea.
