Ukraine launched hundreds of drones across Russia on August 16 in one of Kiev’s largest aerial attacks of the conflict, according to Russian authorities. Russia’s Defence Ministry said it destroyed 822 Ukrainian drones overnight, while Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said around 600 drones were detected heading toward the capital. At least six people were killed, according to Russian officials. A Ukrainian drone also struck a private home in the Moscow region, killing an 83-year-old man, while another attack sparked a fire at a Wildberries warehouse in Podolsk.
