Residents of Spain’s North African enclave of Ceuta tore down a makeshift migrant camp on a beach on August 27, throwing migrants’ belongings into the sea and lighting a bonfire while waving Spanish flags, as migrants watched nearby. Earlier, protesters blocked a road near the beach and chanted slogans including "kick out invaders", amid rising tensions following a mass border crossing in late July.
