Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israel’s government is pursuing "all kinds of provocations" to destabilise the wider region, starting with its neighbours.
Speaking in Istanbul on August 28, the Turkish president described Zionism as a "radical, occupying, genocidal ideology", saying that it threatens not only neighbouring countries but also those who defend regional peace and humanitarian values.
Erdogan added that Türkiye’s warnings over Zionism’s "expansionist ambitions" are made "on behalf of all peoples in the region, regardless of their faith", calling for greater unity.
