Could Germany’s far right take power in a state for the first time? | DW News

A regional election this weekend could fundamentally change the political landscape in Germany. The far-right AfD is on course for a resounding victory and could take over a state government for the first time. The latest opinion polls puts the AfD at 42%. That’s nearly double their closest rivals the conservative CDU.
