Far-right AfD leads polls ahead of key German state election

Saxony-Anhalt is among three German states headed to elections this month—and arguably the most crucial. The Alternative for Germany, or AfD, is currently polling at more than 40 percent ahead of Sunday’s vote. An outright majority will make it the first far-right party to govern a German state since World War Two. Victoria Innes reports.
