On the sidelines of the BRICS summit, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with UAE crown prince, Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan — the countries’ highest-level meeting since the start of the Iran war. Iran has attacked the UAE several times because it houses US military forces. DW asked Alex Vatanka of the Iran Program at the Middle East Institute in Washington about Tehran’s goals at the summit in Delhi.
