US President Donald Trump called into a Los Angeles tech summit on September 14 and was put on speakerphone by Nvidia chief Jensen Huang. Trump called concerns over AI and data centres a hoax, telling the crowd that data centres were “the oil of the next 20, 25 years” and would make people and states wealthy, calling them “bigger than the internet and the AI.”
