Israel has been allowed to display its war propaganda and conduct a whitewashing operation in New York City during the UN General Assembly (#UNGA), footage filmed by TRT World shows.
The Israeli government says it has launched “five hundred billboards in the heart of Manhattan, dozens of trucks, and a sweeping digital campaign.”
The messages, which were labelled as “paid by the State of Israel”, described Iran as an existential threat to the world and framed Israel and the US as a coalition supporting “Freedom, Life, Civilisation”.
In recent years, Israel has waged a genocidal war in Gaza, illegally invaded parts of Lebanon, and repeatedly violated Syria’s sovereign territory.
