The announcement by Türkiye and Iraq of a major breakthrough in the process to disband the PKK terror group, was one of the outcomes following several days of meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The Turkish president also held talks with other world leaders, which could have implications for a number of international disputes.
