Koja takes office amid debate over US military presence

Okinawa is home to around 70% of the land used by US military facilities in Japan, despite accounting for less than 1% of the country’s total landmass. Supporters say the US bases are important for regional security. But many residents have long raised concerns over noise, accidents and land use. Chris Gilbert reports from Okinawa, Japan.
