Iran is reviewing a US response to its offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days.
Tehran proposed reopening the waterway in exchange for sanctions relief and a ceasefire, which was rejected by Donald Trump. Tehran says it aims to restore a collapsed ceasefire signed by leaders of both countries in June. Diplomatic efforts have gained momentum after indirect talks on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly last week.
