Residents gathered in Venezuela’s coastal state of La Guaira for a memorial ceremony 100 days after a series of deadly earthquakes struck the country on June 24.
Attendees observed a moment of silence at 6:04am, the exact time the main earthquake struck, to honour those killed and injured. Simultaneous remembrance events and religious services were held across La Guaira.
The magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes caused widespread destruction and prompted national emergency measures.
