Police detain Indian opposition leaders at poll chief protest

Police in New Delhi detained opposition leaders, including Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, on October 6 as they demanded the resignation of the chief election commissioner, accused of lying to the Supreme Court and bending the rules for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Opposition leaders gathered outside the office of the election commission in protest and were stopped from entering the compound before being detained and put onto police buses.
