German politicians call far-right election ‘taboo breach’ | DW News

Lawmakers from the German center-left Social Democrats took to the streets after a far-right AfD lawmaker was elected as parliamentary speaker for the first time on a state level. The SPD says it marks a breach of Germany’s long-standing so-called "firewall" policy, under which other parties refuse to cooperate with the far right. #dwgermanpolitics #Germany
