Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi led tens of thousands of protesters through New Delhi towards the Supreme Court on Monday, demanding action over widespread deletions from voter rolls.
The march follows weeks of growing unrest after election authorities removed more than 130 million names during a voter-roll revision; critics argue the process unfairly benefits Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Opposition parties and youth activists are now calling for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign.
