Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be meeting with Andy Burnham in Number 10 on Wednesday morning.
The Ukrainian president has been invited to Downing Street only days after Donald Trump announced he will ease sanctions on Russia and import an initial 300,000 tonnes of diesel from the country into the States.
But Burnham has said he hopes the invite demonstrates the UK’s "rock-solid support" for Ukraine and "we are with you as long as it takes".
