Greece becomes latest European country to see mass youth protests

Europe’s youth-led protests has reached Greece, where thousands of students and teachers marched through Athens on October 21, demanding better education funding, affordable housing and higher pay. University students called for greater financial support and free accommodation amid rising living costs, while high school students demanded more funding for schools, and teachers pushed for salary increases. The protest comes amid wider education and cost-of-living protests across Europe, including in France, Albania, Italy, Belgium and Portugal.
