President Emmanuel Macron criticises world leaders for making "stupid" and “unacceptable” comments about the rioting on the sidelines of protests in France, in an apparent swipe at US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“When I see leaders campaigning in the region or on the other side of the Atlantic. They are campaigning at our expense,” he said.
Macron also denounced what he described as “foreign manipulation of information” after the unrest, saying artificial intelligence had been used to fabricate images of events that never happened.
