SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn has said “Mhairi Black is right – Westminster is toxic” after SNP’s deputy Westminster leader, Mhairi Black, announced she would step down at the next general election, blaming the “toxic” Commons environment. Mr Flynn also said he is “very troubled” by the allegations that a BBC presenter paid for sexual images from a teenager and that the BBC has a “number of questions” to answer.
