Libya flooding: At least 10,000 missing after Storm Daniel batters country

At least 10,000 people are thought to be missing after flooding in Libya, the International Federation of the Red Cross says. A quarter of the eastern city of Derna was wiped out by floodwaters after dams burst in a storm – as many as 2,000 people may have died there alone. The country was hit by Storm Daniel on Sunday – the same weather system that caused widespread damage across southern Europe last week.
